Tytuł: Build Mode Camera controls
Wiadomość wysłana przez: Void_Phoenix w 16 Sierpnia 2015, 13:27:38
As it currently stands there are two control schemes for controlling the camera in build mode that can be switched between by pressing the number keys 1 & 2.

These are...

Absolute (1):
This is a birds eye view with all controls working in world-space
w - move forward
s - move back
a - move left
d - move right
(w,a,s,d controls work in the horizontal plane only so vertical position remains constant when looking up or down)
q - raise the camera away from the ground
e - lower the camera towards the ground

note that when switching to absolute, the camera will remain in it's current position but will rotate to be facing directly down.

Relative (2):
This is a free fly control scheme with controls working in the object space of the camera
w - move forward
s - move backward
a - move left
d - move right
q - move down
e - move up
camera will also track movement of the mouse for looking direction
(all of these controls act relative to the direction the camera is looking so pressing w while looking down will move the camera down as well)

both Absolute and Relative:
up arrow - look down
down arrow - look up
left arrow - look left
right arrow - look right

* Pressing 3 will return the camera to its original position from when the station was loaded, but will not change which control scheme you
   are currently using.
* Pressing 0 will hide/unhide the GUI
* Pressing Esc will bring up the pause menu

Do people want mouse control over looking when in relative/free-fly mode? (as in the main game)

Would be good to restore rotating camera in absolute mode via arrow keys, like it was working before.
