Automatic warning question
« dnia: 22 Stycznia 2020, 23:58:53 »
Hello,

"You have recevied an automatic warning due to: overspeed and derail. Train number: 43545, scenery: LCS Skrzynki 0265a70e, speed: 97 km/h."

The dispacher on that segment was offline, so the one before told me to go even if I see a red light and to ask if the line is clear using /swdr, when I get close to leaving the segment. That's what I did, I went through a red light and then I immediately get a you are dead error.

Now, my questions are: I did it wrong? Was there a procedure I had to follow? And, will this warning affect me in any way?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

In Wykno station, a part of LCS Skrzynki scenery, there is a 40 km/h speed limit because of bad condition of the tracks. You probably didn't notice a triangular white sign with a black "4" digit on it, what informs you about the limit. The limited speed segment starts with a W9 sign (a rectangular white sign with a black arrow) with arrow facing downwards, and ends with a W9 with arrow facing upwards. You should carefully watch the tracks in front of your train :)

I also advice you to carefully read Ie-1 signalling instruction to know all signals and signs.

So, when you see this W8 triangular sign with a number, you should reduce your speed to this number multiplied by 10 km/h (for example, you see number 4 on the sign, sp you start braking to reduce your speed to 40 km/h)

Tip:when you drive through an offline scenery, you have to click f5 or type /zew1 to enable virtual dispatcher, so you won't have to drive through S1 signals, but remember that you still must ask the next dispacher via /swdr.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick and detailed answer. It was past the 30km/h part so it couldn't be that. The speed limit was 100km/h before and after the red light.

It is true that I didn't press F5 for the dummy dispatcher, but now I know that I have to. We learn from our mistakes. Hopefully, I won't derail again haha.
