Hello, I've done a few trips in the EN57 now, I have a few questions..

- What does ripped switches mean? It says I have 2, and I don't think I did anything wrong
- What does the dispatcher mean when they say RELOG in the chat?
- On one experiment RJ I got a scenery with no dispatcher 2nd from the last scenery.  I pressed ZEW3 and got routed by the AI dispatcher to the last scenery. The dispatcher failed to load on the last one too so all I could do was quit the game. Is that OK? I tried / SWDR (question) but maybe somehow I'd gone offline without warning?
- Some other driver was walking on my track and I killed him. I sounded the horn! Their fault or mine? The chat found it amusing :)

In a failed attempt with the EU07, I was typing into chat but forgot to press enter first and these key entries managed to switch off the loco. I could not restart it - all I could do was ask the dispatcher to end my RJ. Is this ok or will he get annoyed with me?

Thanks so much :)

Swtich is ripped, when you force it to change - when you enter switch from the direction that it isn't set to. All what relog means, is that dispatcher for various reasons have to log out from scenery, and then log back in.
If last station is offline, and you'd be driving under control of virtual dispatcher there is no sense to even go in there (VD have some issues with setting enter to the station if it's the last one in timetable). Just ask on previous station, that you'll end there. If you decide to go to the off station anyway, there is nothing wrong to leave - you're offline.
The guy that you ran over was... Well...
EU07 are much more complicated than EN57. It's too much to describe everything there - book a lesson provided by training team (no, you dont have to pay anything).

Thanks for the quick reply. Its quite daunting with the language barrier. I haved work for UK Railways for 30 years, and have read everything I can about PKP - I'm old enough to remember the old DOS Mechanik sim, and Maszyna coming out  ;D

I'm not sure why I had any ripped switches as I followed all given signals. Never mind.

I wil have to book a trainer session - I can drive the EU07 - but ouch, when something shut down I struggled.

You propably were just shunting on a yard with manual switches and haven't seen, that some of them were'nt set properly. Read about Tz indicators ;)

Unfortunately, official EU07 guide was not translated: https://wiki.td2.info.pl/index.php?title=Instrukcja_Train_Driver_2_(maszynista)
Try with Google Translate, it might be comprehensible enough.

Undoing "typing damage" is disfficult. What I do is I turn everything off using mouse looking at control panel and then start the locomotive from scratch:
Good luck!

Typing damage  ;D

I think I didn't give the converter time to spool up.
Oh I just derailed leaving one scenery at 110km/h, then loading screen and when the next one loaded (Ks) it was immediately 70km/h. Not any warning - I got an automatic warning hmm.

Every scenery have sign what speed is in next scenery. Remember. Helper isn't all. You must watch rails. Type "wskaźnik w8" and you see this important sing. It warns you if speed in next scenery is lower than actual.

If you want to deepen some topics related with TD2, you can arrange a training with one of the trainers.

Leftmost column in timetable shows speed limit for each scenery. I usually use that to prepare myself to slow down.

^ Yes that's very helpful info thankyou, I learnt my derail lesson. Now almost at 400km. It's a great game, apart from those scenario load stutters.

It was, it is and will be there for a long time yet. Depends on a internet, disk, processor and scenery file weight. Rarly it's seemless for anybody, maybe only when computer spec is very good and both sceneries are small.

Yes, Good EE AC traction. I never worked those, most were withdrawn from passenger work before, and for the class 86/87 soon after the time I began. I was on the Regional Railways sector before privatisation - only class 15x  DMUs and 323 EMU at the 1990s-2000s eras  :)

Hi everyone. Could I please ask a couple of new questions?

1. What defines the vmax of the freight wagons - I have done some now and just asked for 100km/h timings (Sggmrss). Can someone say please, what is the vmax of each type of wagon in TD2?
2. So, if a ph says 2 minute stop. What do we do when we arrive early. Wait for correct departure time or just go after 2 minutes? I have seen different things expected from various DRs.
3. When changing cabs in loks, I don't know if it was a bug. I lost controls for the overload reset buttons and pantograph controls.. May be its because I needed to change (or lower both) the pantographs before changing cabs? Some cabs have a master switch some do not. If I close the master switch before changing cabs it shuts everything down. What's the right process?

Thank you again for help, and to the devs, other drivers and DRs. TD2 is fun  ;D

1. https://wiki.td2.info.pl/index.php?title=Sklady
2. You wait until the planned departure time
3. In real life not only the pantographs, but whole loco ;)

Changing cabs in EU07 is still a mistery to me.
I usually drive 303e type with master switch, in that case before changing cabs I disable converter and compressor then lower both pantographs, switch cab and start loco from scratch. That always works, but it might be too much.
In 4E without master switch I think you just switch the cab without touching everything.
I haven't found any useful info on the wiki.

Regarding the waiting for departure time with passenger train, I have had DR's tell me to go early which I presume is ok if they tell me?

There is a point in the rules (2.5 {S}), that is allowing the train with ph (passenger stop) to go earlier, if both dispatchers and a driver will give permission to do that. Of course, it makes sense when you're close to finishing your timetable and have 40ph, but players shouldn't use this rule really often. No one wants their train go depart before time ;) If the timetable has long stops, try to ask for another one. This rule doesn't apply for pt (technical stops) or pm (shunting work), in these cases you can go earlier with no problems.

I'll stay in this thread if that's ok for a technical problem:

Has anyone else had a visual problem with the cabin of the ET41 ever?

The animated sections, such as switches and the gauge needles, and speedometer back are flickering and jumping around like crazy.

I've got gfx settings on the highest. Resolution is 1440 on a i7 chip 32Gb ram, RTX 3060ti. Geforce drivers are latest. None of the other models exhibit any problem.

I've watched YouTubes and nobody seems to have the same graphical glitches.

There is a problem, when loco is to far from the 0.0.0 (center) of the scenery. It was propably fixed in one of the latest commits, and should be in upcoming version, but I don't quite remamber that and don't wanna lie.

Yes, it will be fixed in the new version. The problem occurs when spawn on the first station is far away from (0,0,0) of a scenery (For example spawn in Wykno on LCS skrzynki).
