Hello there! Yesterday I was on Youtube in a live stream video with some colleagues from this forum I guess, it's a pleasure to be here.  :)

While watching the live stream, I got to download the game, install it and run it for a little, after collecting information from here and there, I got to move an EN57 EMU, but what I'm really missing is really a detailed manual to explain which switch is what thing in English, as the buttons have Polish labels below them. I know that there is a box to see what key does what, but despite that, I got still confused, and whilst testing the unit, a buzzer started to sound and I couldn't stop it no matter what I pressed. xD

But oh well, I managed so far to walk around the train, to set it up and run it for a bit, what I don't know, is how to enter dispatcher mode and change junctions and or do train operations at this very moment, that is why I said, that a detailed manual would really come in handy, I could translate it to Spanish too aswell if you'd like  ;D.

Everyone, have a good day!  :)

Guillermo

Hi, it's good to see you :) Hope you will have a lot of nice time staying with us. As far as I read your post, I get the conclusion that preparing an English manual won't be a piece of cake, but when it will be raised to be alive, I do some exercises to help it get running. As for now, there are many technical words, that I still don't know how it'll be in English :( For simple help for now the alerter buzzer is being cancelled by Space button.

About the manual, I'm pretty sure that with some translations and asking in other sites wich I know and do have polish people too, we can do something about it.

Thanks for the keyboard shorcut for the buzzer, wich is in fact the deadman's alerter I believe? Now the trouble that I'm having (in the EN57) is to make brake, I know that it's from the numpad, but I still have to use the HUD to release them, things will come out little by little.  :)

I'm using numpad7/numpad1 for releasing/applying brakes.

EN57 is not yet fully finished. I suggest you try EU07 locomotives with higher numbers (>300) in single player scenarios. This type is the most refined piece of rolling stock in this game.

Also don't be shy to join online game with 31WE for example, many ppl here are speaking fluent english and will help you. Those who not will let you pass ;)

Yup, in fact I asked Zdebu about online sessions, but first I want to learn about the engine/emu and it's controls, how they brake, signals, etc... And then enter MP, I chose to start with the EN57 as I love these kind of EMUs, old electric trains with that distinguishing"crescendo" noise... I'm more of a passenger train fan. ;D If you guys had the older version of the EN57, wich is the EN51 (I believe), I would have driven that one in game.  ;D

Nope, is only one type of EMU - EN57. Actually, i working on a new model of this unit.

Cytuj
wich is the EN51

If you mean EW51 ( first polish-english EMU ), it's hard to create. Why? Because the only existing train is destroyed relic. So, there is no photographic documentation of this train ( like cab and interior ).

Unfortunately, EN57 isn't actually good to drive. We're working on it, there are several bugs which will probably make using this EMU not fun. Controlling this train is also very simplified, the only thing you have to do is click 2 times PageUp to set reverser in forward position (remember, in EN57 there are 2 forward positions) and click '+'  or '-' to drive. If you want to brake, you have to pull this slide at down-right of your screen to down, then if you want to go, put this in upper position.

Yup, I meant this one.  ;D It's quite a shame that from what I guess, there is just one trainset from the EW51 series that made it up to these days, but it's in really bad conditions... From what I read, it looked like they were planning on donating components from the EN57 to repair and put in service this unit, but it came to a halt.

From my experience, I can say that indeed, documentation is really a must, otherwise it will be a pain in the ass when creating something.  ;D

Well, you should absolutely wait for an improved EN57, and try to drive other loco’s at this moment :)

And if you’re an enthusiast of Polish locomotives, I added a few pieces from a history of a Polish railroading below, so check it out :)

- this bridge at the beginning, and tunel at the end of the film, which is 1,5 kilometer long I know from my childhood.
- a short film about manufacturing...EW 55 in Wrocław’ s Pafawag industry
