Throttle bug when game window is out of focus and in focus
« dnia: 12 Grudnia 2022, 11:38:06 »
I've noticed TD2 sets throttles to 0 when the TD2 game window loses focus due to me interacting with a web browser or something similar. What is the reason for having this feature, and can it be switched off?

The actual problem I'm having now is that the set throttles to 0 when window loses focus feature is inverted, i.e. when the game window gets in focus the throttle is set to 100%, which is a big problem as you can tell. And sometimes the throttle randomly flips between 0% and 100%. TD2 has been working fine for the 166 km I've travelled so far, but now I can't drive because of this bug, and I'm thinking this window focus bug could be avoided if the feature wasn't there in the first place.

As a side note, the game starts up with the throttles at 100%, so the bug is there initially.

Any ideas? Is there something I can reset?

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Turns out TD2 reacts to game controller inputs, and a joystick I had plugged in was causing the throttle to be stuck at 100%. I thought TD2 was keyboard only since I couldn't find any game controller settings in the menus, and still can't. Does it officially support it?

JOYSTICK SUPPORT QUESTION SOLVED:
Found a thread that answered my joystick support question:

And here's a thread with the same problem as I had, only in Polish:

But from my previous post, this behavior still remains and I'm still wondering if it's possible to turn off:
